FC Barcelona confirmed on Saturday that they have reached a deal with Turkish side Basaksehir to loan them Turkish global winger Arda Turan for the remainder of this season and for two more.
Meanwhile, Turan, who made just 55 appearances for Barça in two-and-a-half years and scored 15 goals, will be relieved after returning home to Turkey, where he played for Galatasaray and Manisaspor.
And having found himself out of manager Ernesto Valverde's plans, Turan has been given an escape route for the remainder of his contract in Istanbul.
Medipol Basaksehir confirmed on Saturday the signing of Turkish midfielder Arda Turan in a tweet from their official account.More news: Bannon Taps Quinn Emanuel Lawyer Ahead of House Panel Appearance
"In that time he has won 6 trophies: 1 league championship, 2 Copa del Rey, 1 Spanish Super Cup, 1 Club World Cup and 1 European Super Cup".
The Istanbul football club quoted chairman Goksel Gumusdag as saying: "Today, Arda Turan is coming back to his country with an orange kit [of Basaksehir] on him".
The fourth-most capped Turkish player will also be hoping to return to his best for the national team after reversing his decision to retire from global football in August.
