People on social media agreed with Bentley, calling the woman "cheap" and "disappointing".
The warehouse club allows members to return nearly anything they've purchased at any time for a full refund (there is a 90-day limit on electronics).
One person wrote: "People like this are miserable".
While another said: "Sister works for Costco, can confirm".
A Reddit post by Costco employees discussed some of the more egregious items that were returned to stores, including 13-year-old fish, an empty wine bottle, and photo prints.
Sun Online has requested comment from Costco.
