Move Over Eleven Millie Bobby Brown to Star and Produce a Film Series About Sherlock Holmess Little Sister

Millie Bobby Brown all set to play Elona Holmes

Brown us currently set to star in the sequel to Gareth Edwards Godzilla movie, and now she's been cast as the sister of Sherlock Holmes, Enola Holmes.

The novels followed Enola, Sherlock's teenage sister, as she attempts to carve her own career as a detective, proving herself a highly capable and intelligent sleuth as well.

Although Enola doesn't exist in Arthur Conan Doyle's original Holmes works, Springer's books lean heavily on Doyle's canon and characters: for instance, after arriving in London, Enola runs into Inspector Lestrade, who is on his way to help Sherlock with a case.

She was nominated for an Emmy for her role as Eleven, though she lost to The Handmaid's Tale's Ann Dowd; she and her castmates did win the Screen Actors Guild award for Best Drama Series ensemble, though. Probably not producing a series of big budget movies.

Likewise, Brown clearly already has enough clout to bank on. Since the news is so new, there's no word yet on a title, release date, or other stars.

In addition to starring, Brown will produce the adaptation through her PCMA Productions banner, while Alex Garcia and Ali Mendes oversee for Legendary. In the meantime, we've got a lot of reading to do.
