While former Manchester City striker Sturridge, who has been linked with a move away from Anfield this month due to lack of game time, has recovered from illness and a muscle injury.

Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, his compatriot, on Wednesday posted a message on Instagram saying "Liverpool is no longer the same without" the "magical" Coutinho.

Man City beat Liverpool 5-0 at the Etihad earlier in the season.

With Salah likely restored alongside Mane and Firmino on Sunday, the Reds could stand a chance of becoming the first side to defeat City in the English top flight this campaign.
