Armed robbers have carried out a daring raid at the luxury Ritz Hotel in Paris, seizing millions worth of jewels.
French police arrested three of the robbers, but two are still at large.
Police in Paris have recovered all the jewels stolen from the Ritz Hotel in a dramatic heist, but are still searching for two thieves who got away, officials said. Three of the raiders were soon arrested by police, but two of the gang escaped through a back door.
Frédéric Beigbeder, a writer, was among guests drinking in the hotel's Hemingway bar who took refuge in the basement when the robbers burst in. "We didn't know what was going on until someone told us there had been a robbery".

Interior minister Gerard Collomb praised officers' "professionalism", saying they had "done our police force credit".
The Ritz is one of Paris' most luxurious hotels. It was the last place Princess Diana stayed before her fatal vehicle crash and hosts elite guests from around the world who prize the refined neighborhood.
Security was stepped up in and around Place Vendôme in 2014 after a series of thefts on luxury shops and jewellers in the square, which is also home to France's ministry of justice.
It was at the Ritz that Diana, Princess of Wales, spent her last night in 1997 before the vehicle crash that killed her and her lover Dodi Fayed, son of the hotel's owner Mohammed al-Fayed.
