Crawford first caught eyes in a steamy 1992 Pepsi Super Bowl ad, and reprised the role for its tenth anniversary in 2002. Now the brand is bringing back the supermodel to re-envision its famous campaign.

On Thursday, the soda brand announced a new commercial featuring Crawford, 51 and her 18-year-old son, model Presley Gerber, that will air during the February 4 broadcast of Super Bowl LII. "This time of year it always gets featured in the roundups of the Best Super Bowl Commercials ever", she said, "and every January I revisit my original Pepsi spot that I just love because the music was ideal, and the little boys were flawless and it was just one of those commercials that everyone loved and it made people happy". She continued, "The commercial was a big moment for me and has spanned generations".

The new Super Bowl advert is called "This Is The Pepsi", and is part of the drinks company's "Pepsi Generation" campaigning honouring its 120-year history and its place in pop culture. He first appearance in a Pepsi spot in 1992 turned the world on to her undeniable sex appeal.

PepsiCo, on the other hand, reported sales for its North America beverage unit fell 3% to $5.3 billion during the third quarter, prompting the company to say it would move marketing dollars back to Pepsi and Mountain Dew.

The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is headlined by superstar Justin Timberlake. This is the sixth year Pepsi is sponsoring the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Beginning Jan. 29, the retro packaging pulled straight from the brand's archives will be available at major retailers nationwide in 2-liter bottles, 20-oz. bottles and 12-oz. can 12-packs.

The brand is also returning to its Pepsi Stuff loyalty program first released in 1996. Last year, Pepsi was benched in favor of LIFEWTR for the Super Bowl spot as consumers turned to healthier beverages. Pepsi Generations Live pop-up exhibits will guide fans through the evolution of how Pepsi's history has connected with people over generations.

Crawford, who is married to George Clooney's business partner Rande Gerber, is making plans to attend the Super Bowl in Minneapolis, Minnesota with her family, as her father lives in the city.

"It was one of those moments in my career that when I walked down the street, people were like, 'Pepsi!' Or I'd be at a bar, and people would send me over a Pepsi", she said.
