Allegiant Air creating base at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport

As part of Allegiant's growth in Florida, the company anticipates adding more than 65 new, high-wage jobs during 2018.

Allegiant says it is now offering nonstop flights to seven locations with this addition, and it will provide the service on a seasonal basis.

The aircraft base is expected to have a deep and lasting impact on the region´s economy, bringing an anticipated United States dollars 418 million in tourism revenue on a five-year horizon.

Service from Bentonville to Destin, FL via Destin-Fort Walton Beach will be available June 6.

"They had plenty of choices, we have the lowest cost per plane passenger in the entire region".

Las Vegas-based Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) is focused on linking travelers to world-class leisure destinations.

"Northwest Arkansas is a rapidly growing and economically diverse region of this country", said Kelly Johnson, Airport Director.

Residents can also look forward to traveling to new destinations.

Allegiant is spending $49 million to open a new operations base at the airport in Destin, Florida, company executives said Tuesday.
