What Ingraham failed to realize is that James has always been vocal about his political beliefs before Trump came into power.
During the ESPN series with Champion and Durant, James, who isn't a fan of Trump said: "the No. 1 job in America, the appointed person [Trump], is someone who doesn't understand the people-and really don't give a [expletive] about the people". "There's been many people that's not African-American that spoke upon the same issues that I spoke upon, and they didn't say anything to them".
That comment seemed to anger Ingraham, who called James' view a "barely intelligible, not to mention ungrammatical take on President Trump". Unfortunately a lot of kids and some adults, take these comments seriously.More news: Lindsey Vonn Has A Message For Her Donald Trump-Supporting Twitter Trolls
Watch the segment below. Just because they "get paid $100 million to bounce a ball" as opposed to being overpaid to do a morning bias news show, doesn't make them any less qualified to speak under the First Amendment.
"I'm sure the network she works for has interviewed a bunch of athletes, just couldn't find the screenshots quickly", he wrote.
James posted a #wewillnotshutupandribble hashtag on Twitter and Instagram on Friday night, with the Instagram post including a photo with neon lights saying, "I am more than an athlete".
"I should also say it's not lost on me or anybody in this room that there is an enormous amount of racial tension in this country", Silver said.
However, others would certainly disagree - including Kevin Durant, whom Ingraham criticized on Thursday. You never thought you could be them, but you could grab inspiration from them. "That was definitely an ignorant comment".
Mr. Durant then described how he learned life skills from basketball and compared Mr. Trump to a "bad coach". And if you reply "stick to sports", you should probably tune of out Fox News because they've got karate guys talking climate change on there.
