The show's cast includes Josh Gad, Titus Burgess from Netflix's Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell, and others.

Apple bought its first animated series with an order for two 13-episode seasons of "Central Park" from Loren Bouchard, creator of 'Bob's Burgers'.

In a very competitive situation, with three major streaming services pursing, Apple has landed animated musical comedy Central Park, from 20th Century Fox TV, with a two-episode, 26-episode straight-to-series order. Bouchard and Gad are executive producers; Smith will be a consulting producer. This move marks a rare one for 20th Century Fox Television, selling work outside the Fox corporate family. The studio is best known for other animated series such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, Futurama, and American Dad!.

Apple has yet to unveil a platform for its upcoming content. An untitled space-race drama from "Battlestar Galactica" and "Outlander" showrunner Ronald D. Moore, the drama "See" from Steven Knight and Francis Lawrence, and the immigrant anthology series "Little America" are also in the works.
