The Bruins will take on another 11-seed as they will face St. Bonaventure on Tuesday night at 6:10 p.m. PT. The victor of this game will get to take on the Florida Gators in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

FAMILIAR ARENA PART 2: LIU Brooklyn coach Derek Kellogg was sacked by MA last season after losing to St. Bonaventure in the A-10 tournament.

The play-in game "adds another layer" of difficulty in trying to advance to what would be UCLA's fourth Sweet 16 run in five seasons under Alford, the coach said. UCLA lost a close game to Arizona taking the eventual champions to overtime before losing. Their basketball future looks very murky as a pay to play scheme might knock out the Trojans from the tournament for years to come. He was one of the top scorers in the Atlantic Ten with almost 20 points per game. The Atlantic 10 regular-season victor has victories this season over Maryland, Syracuse and Rhode Island. The Wildcats then turned around and beat the Bonnies in the conference tournament by 12. One of the Bonnies' biggest concerns is Courtney Stockard, who suffered a hamstring injury during the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

The Titans a 15th seed are making their first appearance in the tournament since 2008 and are lead by junior guard Kyle Allman (19.4 points, 43 percent 3-point shooting) and junior guard Khalil Ahmad (15.3 points).

As for the rest of the Pac-12, Arizona and Arizona State were the only two other conference teams. "I think one of the advantages, if we have an advantage, is that we played here a number of times".

St. Bonaventure's at-large hopes were boosted by victories over Syracuse and Maryland. The Bruins have not won a national title since the 1995 season.

"It's about one game at a time regardless of whether you've got to win three in one week or you've got to win two in one week", Alford said. UCLA has a little more experience, and a little more talent.

The Bruins weren't alone in dealing with off-court issues. While Jaylen Adams is good, Aaron Holiday is another level good, and will be tough for the Bonnies to defend in this game.

When speaking with local reporters, Alford didn't know exactly when the Bruins would be leaving for their First Four game against St. Bonaventure.
