The Abhishek Sharma directorial is an adaptation of the Anuja Chauhan's 2008 novel of the same name. Reportedly, the actor will be seen playing a character named Nikhil in the movie. His Facebook post read as, "Now this one is really special!"

Dulquer, too, share his excitement about the film, which he thinks has been adapted beautifully for the screen. The film is directed by Abhishek Sharmaw and produced by Fox Star Studios and Adlabs Films. The film will be a romcom woven with an ample dose of cricket. He was quoted as saying by the tabloid, "I knew immediately that this was the boy we were looking for". It also stars Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar. Zoya was born at the moment when India lifted the 1983 World Cup. Eventually, Zoya falls for skipper Nikhil Khoda who doesn't believe in luck and superstitions.
