The trailer above shows Dante's Monster Hunter: World debut in action, as he unleashes his transforming sword on one of the series' trademark beasts. Charge Blades in Monster Hunter World combine the shield with the sword to transform into axes, but the Devil May Cry weapons will have the Force Edge transform into Alastor. The weapon can still guard, though.

Like all of the other tie-ins that came before this one, you'll need to complete a special event quest to unlock all of this new gear.
Monster Hunter: World is home to many collaboration events. With the right materials, players can create a full set of armor that makes them look like Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn. Unlike the PS4-exclusive Horizon Zero Dawn gear, the Devil May Cry armor will be available to all Monster Hunter World players on PS4 and Xbox One.
Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World will be getting new items as part of a cross-promotion with the Devil May Cry series. For those who have yet to familiarize themselves with Dante's adventures, the Devil May Cry HD Collection recently launched on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. Three Devil May Cry titles are included in the collection which is available now. Players can find the required quests by selecting the "Event Quests" section of the menu.
