Daesung, Taeyang, G-Dragon, Seungri and TOP has a gift for their fans - a new monster hit to cheer them up entitled Flower Road. The song itself exudes classic Big Bang vibes, a harmonious mix of hip-hop and R&B that nearly make you forget the enlistment of the members. "Daesung enlisted today and I am the last one remaining".

BigBang's Flower Road is a "love letter" to fans before the military enlistment of Daesung, Taeyang and G-Dragon, and it is co-written by G-Dragon and TOP. The title refers to a Korean term expressing a new, glorious journey - an apt signifier for their next chapter.

"If you want to leave, I understand", Daesung and Taeyang sing.

Daesung joined the military on Tuesday, becoming the fourth member of K-pop group Big Bang to start his mandatory military duty. "I'll scatter flowers on the road you'll walk on /But if you ever miss me, please come back".

The band is expected to return to music after completion of their service, a almost two-year term mandatory for South Korean residents due to their longstanding tension with North Korea. With Daesung entering the military, Seungri is the only singer in the group who has yet to serve. Rapper T.O.P enlisted in January past year. The group's rapper returned to his public service work after being discharged because of his alleged marijuana use. BIGBANG's promise to return after fulfilling their duty follows that of acts including Shinhwa, Super Junior, 2PM and TVXQ!, all of whom either have members now serving while the group remains active, or have returned to their group efforts following each of the member's fulfilling his service.
