Chairman Najam Sethi on Sunday announced that all three T20 matches of the upcoming West Indies' tour will be held at National Stadium Karachi. This led to a world xi touring Pakistan past year in what was another successful series played at the same venue - Lahore. "Good news is that West Indies will play three games, on [April, 1, 2 and 4], but these matches will be played in Karachi".
The revival of global cricket in Pakistan began with the final of Pakistan Super League 2 past year, which was held in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium amidst top-notch security and was a successful event with no casualties being reported and the overseas players too were satisfied with their one-day trip to the war-torn country.
The West Indies will become the latest worldwide cricket team to commit to playing in Pakistan, following Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan.

The PSL final, and now three more games for Karachi as per routine. The idea wasn't to make money; it was to bring cricket back, so this is a step in that direction. The West Indies series takes place over 1st, 2nd and 4th April. "Now it is Karachi's turn to rise and shine with PSL3 Final and WI", Sethi wrote in a separate tweet.
In November, last year, Sethi had stated that Cricket West Indies and Pakistan Cricket Board had signed an agreement to play T20Is series every year for a period of next five years, in Pakistan and the USA.
The West Indies are the reigning World Twenty20 champions, after winning the title in India in 2016. "The details about the venues, dates, financial model will be discussed later but in principle it has decided that three countries will play in the United States of America".
