The premium end of town in the smartphone market is fast becoming a Samsung device according to retailers and the holy grail is set to be the all new Samsung Note 9 which is tipped to come later this year with a new in display fingerprint reader.
The smartphone is listed on Samsung's official Indian website, but it only comes with small improvements in terms of imaging.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 has been priced at Rs. 13,990 on the website of Samsung and the portal now displays a "sold out" tag along with it.
Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 features a 5.5 Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D TFT screen protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 4. On the front, the device sports a 13MP secondary camera with f/1.9 aperture, which is an upgrade over the 8MP camera on its predecessor. Samsung Display has been developing technologies for years to commercialize smartphone panels embedded with fingerprint sensors, but they have not reached the parent company's expectations. The SoC is coupled with Mali-T830 MP1 GPU, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.
"The module on the Note 8, which was located horizontally on the left side of the dual camera module on the rear side of the smartphone, was a cause of great inconvenience", he said. The 4G phone offers micro USB 2.0 port, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, a 3.5 mm jack and Global Positioning System. Last but not least, the handset also comes pre-loaded with Samsung's native apps like Samsung Mall and Samsung Pay Mini.
