Following the accident, a case under section 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 279 (rash driving or riding on a public way) of the Indian Penal Code was registered against the 30-year-old. Reported on SpotboyE, the incident happened around 5.30pm on Lokhandwala Backroad, when Narayan's Mercedes crashed into a rickshaw, injuring the driver and passenger.
