TVS Motor Company today launched the new version of TVS Apache RTR 160 4V with price starting at Rs 81,490 (ex-showroom Delhi). The company has termed TVS Apache RTR 160 4V as the most powerful 160cc motorcycle in the segment, while coming with best-in-class power to weight ratio.
The Carburetor & Front Disc Brake variant is available for Rs 81,490, the Carburetor & Front/Rear Disc Brake trim has been priced for Rs 84,490, and the EFI model is for Rs 89,990 (all prices ex-showroom Delhi).
Changes to the engine have resulted in a higher output and the new Apache RTR 160 now offers 16.78PS and 14.8Nm as compared to 15.12PS and 13.03Nm earlier.
Sudarshan Venu, joint managing director, TVS Motor Company, said, "The TVS Apache series has always embodied pure racing performance". TVS Motor Company on Wednesday launched the all-new 2018 model of its popular Apache RTR 160. The new Apache is the most powerful motorcycle in its class. The new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V is an exciting addition to the TVS Apache RTR series. "We are confident that the new TVS Apache RTR 160 4V will set the precedence with its superior performance and dynamic racing look".
The bike comes with a 159.7-cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, 4-valve, oil-cooled engine with a top speed of 114 kmph. The engine produces 14.8Nm of torque and comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. One of the biggest differentiating factors between the two is the availability of the rear disc brake on the Fi version. The new motorcycle is created out of the six-time Indian National Motorcycle Racing Championship (INMRC) winning bike Group B RTR 165.
The side profile of the new Apache RTR 160 4V features side panels finished in silver colour with Apache branding. The new RTR 160 can do 0-60kmph in 4.73s.
The motorcycle boasts of a compact race design with chequered flag decals on the tank.
