WWE: Women's battle royal set for WrestleMania

Becky Lynch On Moolah Battle Royal

As previously reported, there was a lot of backlash among fans on social media after WWE announced on Monday night RAW that they would be having a Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal at this year's WrestleMania event.

There will be a Raw and SmackDown Women's Championship match, the mixed tag team match featuring Ronda Rousey, and potentially Sasha Banks vs. Bayley, so this battle royal could provide five women-based matches at WrestleMania 34. "That's why the Battle Royal is being named after her". This was actually first revealed back in January during a WrestleMania video promo but WWE mentioned the theme on Monday during the announcement for Rock's 2018 WWE Hall of Fame induction into the Celebrity Wing.

The only women we know won't be in the match are WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair and Asuka, as the two already have a championship match set on the card. Should WWE cancel the entire match given the controversy surrounding Moohlah?

A men's battle royal - named after Andre the Giant - has been a staple part of the WrestleMania card since its first appearance in 2014 and previous winners include Cesaro, Big Show and Baron Corbin.
