The owner of the auto told officers the vehicle was equipped with a smart system.
Police today chased a stolen pickup truck from Sherman Oaks to the Reseda area, where two suspects got out and ran into a neighborhood before being arrested. He was assisted by Officer Brian Starnes, the press release said. Eventually, Muntean emerged from the vehicle and surrendered.
First responders arrived and found the victim with a gunshot wound. He tested positive at a hospital for marijuana and amphetamine.
According to the Harrington Police Department, just before 10 p.m. Saturday, officers on patrol were called to the 200 block of Commerce Street after someone called 911 to report their vehicle was intentionally hit with a rock. The woman had said that none of the onlookers on the road bothered to come to her aid and the harassers fled from the scene in an auto rickshaw.
Gun arrest: Officers made a traffic stop for unspecified reasons in the 8300 block of Fontenay Way about 3 p.m. Sunday.
"He was using bad language and screaming, then when we told him he could not smoke inside a police vehicle, he pushed my colleague out of the auto as he tried to hand cuff him and jumped on top of him", said the officer.
When officers contacted Muntean Friday morning, he "exhibited similar behavior to the incident the prior evening", Wyatt said.
