Mumbai Congress chief Sanjay Nirupam told PTI that the party unit has booked an 18-coach train and will call it "Rahul Gandhi Super Fast Express". In a brief speech in English, Rahul Gandhi said, "Five years ago the government of Karnataka promised you something and we delivered on it".
Gandhi was travelling on a flight from New Delhi to Hubli, Karnataka, where he is campaigning for the upcoming assembly elections 2018. All in all she only managed to sing one line of the national song.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Thursday made yet another attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving hugs to foreign leaders and dignitaries by saying that there were "some things a hug can buy", but for U.S. visas "you're on your own". The Congress twitter handle had posted a video depicting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who was convicted by a special Jodhpur court in the rape of a minor girl. Addressing a rally in Mangalore, Gandhi said the document contains the "Mann ki Baat" of the people of the state.More news: Rodgers 'surprised' by Gerrard's Rangers link

Vidyarthee also claimed that the unusual activity of the aircraft was not related to weather. "A thorough probe is needed in this mysterious incident", he said. Addressed to Karnataka Director General and Inspector General of Police Neelmani N Raju, the complaint added that the matter should be probed as "intentional tampering" could not be ruled out. The poll is on May 12 and the results to be announced on May 15. The BJP, on the other hand, is trying hard to oust the Siddaramaiah government. The contest is triangular with BJP and Congress being the main contestants and JDS posing as a Kingmaker if the poll throws up a hung assembly.
