Square Enix released a new "Classic Kingdom" trailer for Kingdom Hearts III that shows off its new mini-games inspired by Disney cartoons and 1980's LCD games that you'll get to check out in the upcoming title.
The new Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer was revealed at the Union X Dandelion fan event over the weekend. While majority we've seen are based around contemporary Disney properties, like Monsters, Inc. and Toy Story, today we've got a trailer for a far more retro aesthetic kingdom. The folks over at KH Insider say that there will be more than 20 of these mini games in all. "Stuff like Nintendo's Game & Watch and Tiger Electronics" long string of licensed releases. Not much else is revealed in regards to these mini-games but it looks as though it'll take many players on a trip down memory lane.
This is a pretty neat addition to the game, no doubt, but unfortunately, this trailer wasn't accompanied by what fans are actually waiting for: a release date.More news: France says Syria's capacity to produce chemical weapons considerably weakened
While we know that Kingdom Hearts 3 is scheduled to release in 2018, there hasn't been an official date from Square Enix quite yet.
Assuming Square Enix is still on track to meet its 2018 release window, we'll probably get a release date at E3 in June.
While kingdoms in Kingdom Hearts are traditionally areas Sora and the gang physically travel to, the trailer implies that Classic Kingdom may just be a gaming handheld that Sora finds and spends time messing around with. Which ones did you have?
