PM Modi's UK visit will have a particular focus on the India-UK technological partnership and the central feature of this will be his second meeting with Theresa May on Wednesday at the Francis Crick Institute in London, where a new India-UK Technical Alliance is expected to be among a series of announcements.
Earlier, ahead of his visit, Modi said in New Delhi he was looking forward to deepening bilateral engagement with both countries in a number of areas including trade, investment and clean energy. "Nordic competencies fit well with our vision for India's transformation", Modi said. He also asked the human rights organizations and as well as Kashmiris based in UK to largely participate in protest during the upcoming Modi's visit to the kingdom.
He further said, "Under the theme of "Living Bridge", I will also have the opportunity to meet people from various walks of life who have enriched the multi-faceted India-UK relationship".
Modi will make a brief stopover in Berlin on his way back home on Friday and meet German Chancellor Angela Merkel to exchange views on several bilateral, regional and global issues, reports said.
