When Telugu actress Sri Reddy made a decision to open up about her experience with the casting couch in Tollywood, little did she know that it would be the beginning of a change in the way her film industry treats women. A few days ago, Sri Reddy had stirred a protest against the casting couch and sexual harassment against women in the Telugu film industry by going semi nude in front of the office of MAA (Movie Artists Association).
Sri Reddy who thanked first in her tweet for Pawan support later asked straight forward question on her twitter handle which meant "PK sir we are same people like you, when you couldn't file a case for special status how could you expect us to do the same?". The government must take the necessary action.
Speaking to media, Sri Reddy demanded Pawan Kalyan to send a message to his fans not to troll her online. Within hours she backtracked her statement and started abusing Pawan Kalyan. He spoke about protecting other women but at the same time he kept me down.More news: SUV that plunged into Northern California river found, 2 bodies in it
In a sarcastic way, Sri Reddy advised the actor to stop his protest demanding special status for Andhra Pradesh and asked him to approach a court or police station for the cause.
At the press meet, Sri Reddy said that her protest against the casting couch will continue. "They use crude language and ask us not to lurk around".
Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan would not get women's votes if he does not come out in their support, character artistes declared on Sunday.
