Battlefield 5 Release Date, First Details Revealed, No More Premium Pass

Battlefield V digital pre-orders open on Xbox One, to have 4K UHD, HDR10, & more

Battlefield 5 trailer revealed, set to release in October

The Daily Show host Trevor Noah hosted the reveal event where the developers revealed the game along with the details and the reveal date. Put a similar concept inside the right context, like World War I or World War II, and you have a game that I really want to play. But the next Battlefield happens on another frontline.

The rivalry between Dice's Battlefield series and Activision's Call of Duty has been one of the most competitive in the gaming world ever and gamers seem to have enjoyed taking part in the fruit of this rivalry. For example, if you win one day, you could have more ammo on the next day. The latter features multiple matches that span days, with the outcome of one match affecting the next.

As YouTuber JackFrags pointed out, players can customize their soldier's gender, facepaint, outfit, accessories, and more. These are all par for the course for shooter games. Choose these five Sets from eight available when deploying into Battlefield V. It sounds like Combined Arms will also have you scrounging for resources as you make it to objectives, raising the stakes further as you need to decide if you can push through or extract early. Also interesting is that you'll be able to build defenses after you've smashed everything in your path with your tanks and what not.

The Tides of War is also a big addition. Regardless of class, squadmates can revive you, which now has a full animation and does not give the player full health. And you won't have to pay extra for new maps and new packages. As well, Deluxe buyers will get early access on October 16.

Finally, EA has also confirmed that Battlefield 5 will not contain any loot boxes, which was a real concern following on from Battlefront II. All of these will count towards your progression and upgrades as well, in case you were wondering.

DICE has announced that it will be partnering with NVIDIA for the PC version of Battlefield V. As the press release reads, NVIDIA engineers are working with the Battlefield V developers to bring the best aspects of the GeForce gaming platform to bear for PC gamers, meaning GeForce Experience will deliver Game Ready drivers, Optimal Playable settings, and other NVIDIA-platform features for Battlefield V.

Rather than waiting until E3 in a few weeks time, EA made a decision to hold its own separate Battlefield 5 reveal event last night.
