Countries that continue to deal with Iran could face American sanctions, the Trump administration said today, days after it announced its decision to withdraw from the Iranian nuclear deal. Now, Iran will likely up the pressure on those USA troops and on US soldiers in Iraq.
It is clear that the Iranian Regime must be stopped in Syria, in order to defend the Middle East as a whole.
Tehran, which has sought to avoid an escalation in regional conflict that could alienate its European partners, has not commented on whether its forces were hit. In different circumstances, it might even have been possible to threaten Iran militarily - not a position I advocate, but I can imagine how it could be done.
This week, Israel and Iran engaged in an extensive military exchange on the heels of Mr. Trump's decision to leave the deal.
Even under the deal, Iran was busy destabilizing Yemen and feeding a tragic and disastrous Houthi-led civil war that also fired missiles into Saudi Arabia. That should help Saudi Arabia and Russian Federation financially as they get more money per barrel of crude on the global spot markets.More news: How politicians reacted to riots in Aurangabad
That credit is negated, however, by Trump's unjustifiable and reckless decision to renounce the Iran nuclear deal. "And I think what we've seen is that Iran's economic condition is really quite shaky, so that the effect here could be dramatic", he said. He ended on a hopeful note after acknowledging that Iran's leaders had ruled out new nuclear negotiations: "But the fact is they are going to want to make a new and lasting deal, one that benefits all of Iran and the Iranian people".
She added that the U.S. can not undo the agreement by pulling out, saying: "this deal is not a bilateral treaty". The Iranian government said it will take "whatever reciprocal measures it deems expedient" if it is not fully compensated for the US withdrawal as provided for in the accord. It has provided an unprecedented window into every nook and cranny of the Iranian nuclear program; divested Iran of its stocks of highly enriched uranium that can be easily made into fuel for bombs; and halted Iran's steady progress toward nuclear weapons for at least a decade.
Demonstrators rallied in Tehran following Friday prayers to protest Trump's move. According to Israel Defense Forces Chief of Staff, Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, "Right now, the agreement, with all its faults, is working and is putting off realization of the Iranian nuclear vision by 10 to 15 years." Maj. "They will never abandon the USA for us", said housewife Poormoslem. Israel said the strikes on Thursday were in response to Iranian rocket fore, a claim Iran said was "fabricated" and "baseless".
Analysts said Iran was determined to maintain the moral high ground in the coming weeks. The United States should not negotiate with the world's largest state sponsor of terror. Of all the bad decisions Trump has made as president, this is the most unsafe. But they were also targeting their own government.
