This week Epic Games launched a brand new limited time mash up for Fortnite which brings The Avengers: Infinity War antagonist, Thanos, into the game... and nearly immediately nerfs the chap.
Just ignore that Thanos already exists in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by way of Josh Brolin and enjoy the spectacle.
Epic would only confirm the event through a tweet with few details, but a report from Entertainment Weekly said Fortnite will feature a special version of its Battle Royale mode where players can wield the Infinity Gauntlet and turn into Thanos.More news: 94 saves, 5 OTs: Goalie says human body not meant for that
It all makes sense to us after we watched the Infinity War that a guy who can control all Infinity stones won't be easy to take down even in Fortnite.
Players can become Thanos in Fortnite by finding the Infinity Gauntlet which crashes into the ground at the beginning of the game. Though only a very recent addition to the game, he's proven to be wildly popular so far among the millions of Fortnite players worldwide.
Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of the Avengers: Infinity Wars, are reportedly big fans of Fortnite and reached out to EPIC games creative director Donald Mustard for a possible crossover.
That's all fun and games, but when things got serious on the map, players quickly learned Thanos was no joke and immediately pointed that complaint boards on Reddit.
