The operation to nab one more terror suspect in the city is now underway. The ATS said the accused, Faisal Hasan Mirza (32), was helped by another man who is wanted in connection with another terror attack in India.

According to the police, the accused was in touch via social media with a Sharjah based terrorist who is believed to have been involved in several terror-related activities. A team of Juhu ATS and the Mumbai police arrested Mirza following credible information from the Kolkata STF. Khan was allegedly sent back from Pakistan after terror training was imparted to him. He was then called to Sharjah from Mumbai, and from there he was taken to Karachi.

"Police said the accused got training in handling explosives, sophisticated firearms as well as suicide bombings at a Karachi-based camp run by a terror organisation". There is also no clarity as to the identity of the person who funded his trip to Sharjah, Dubai and Pakistan.

The man was presented before a local court which remanded him in ATS custody till May 21.

He was trained to target public places, government places and conduct suicide attack.
