Walk The Star Studded Red Carpet For 'Solo

Han Solo is an iconic character, and since we first met him back in 1977, the character has always been Harrison Ford's.

That reassurance comes quickly, thank goodness.

For the rest of the world, the film takes to the screens on May 25, 2018.

Overall, "Solo" finds a comfortable compromise between action and comedy, even if some of the scenes could have been lit a little more brightly.

Now that we're only days away from the release of Solo: A Star Wars Story, it won't be long before each of us gets the chance to review it on our own terms.

"What hurts Solo is the fact that it's ultimately not about anything".

It was only when she began working in film that she encountered discrimination but she says "the temperature changed dramatically the morning all of this stuff (the Me Too movement) started". These stories are products. That's the bad news about Solo: A Star Wars Story.

It's sort of a shame movies can't just exist in a vacuum without the added baggage of often troubled productions or studio interference. In other words, it's pure fan service.

What do you think? Solo might not be exactly what you expect from a Star Wars movie, and that's okay. "Solo: A Star Wars Story" will surely make off with plenty of that loot, even if the movie requires considerable time to take flight, recovering from a messy, flat opening half before rallying and picking up speed down the stretch. The cast also includes Thandie Newton, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Paul Bettany, and Ian Kenny.

"Star Wars" creator George Lucas already had plans to make a Han Solo movie before he sold the franchise to Disney in 2012.

It may not seem like it on the surface, but exploring what made Han Solo the charismatic smuggler we meet (and who absolutely shoots first) in Mos Eisley Cantina in A New Hope is a gutsy thing to do.

With that out of the way, let's see if the critics are being kind to Solo: A Star Wars Story. It's also a corner of the Star Wars galaxy where slave labor, both human and cybernetic, is very much in effect.

Han Solo now has a Rotten Tomatoes score of only 71%! There is such a tenderness here that its no wonder Han never said a single world about his past love to Princess Leia. He doesn't become the character we recognize. On October 30, 2012, Disney announced a deal to purchase Lucasfilm for $4.05 billion.

Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones - 66%. It should be noted that this countdown doesn't include any of the animated series or the Holiday Special.
