First Lady Melania Trump has made it her platform to protect children from online bullying and now she is protecting her 12-year-old son Barron. Donald Trump Jr. has called for Sony Pictures to drop the actor from Sony Pictures' "Boundaries", which opens in theaters Friday.
The Daily Caller is reporting that this offensive and threatening tweet was referred to the Secret Service. "These are men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect the millions of Americans in this country and to protect the millions of those from south of the border trying to come across".
Early Wednesday the actor tweeted an all-caps missive that declared "we should rip Barron Trump from his mother's arms and put him in a cage with pedophiles and see if mother will stand up against the massive (expletive) she is married to", he wrote.
Also, Fonda wants to protest the policy by targeting the children of Border Patrol and ICE agents, saying people should "surround their schools and scare the sh*t out of them and worry the f*ck out of the agents".More news: John Bolton: Leaving the Human Rights Council was 'decades in the making'
Ms Grisham called the tweet "sick and irresponsible" in a statement to USA media.
Donald Trump Jr., meanwhile, did some tweeting of his own, addressing Fonda: "You're clearly a sick individual" who behaved "like a bully and a coward".
But backlash has grown among Trump supporters against Fonda.
On Wednesday Mr Trump signed an executive order reversing the migrant separation policy. In a now-deleted tweet, the "Easy Rider" star said Ms. Nielson should be put in a cage naked and "whipped by passersby while being filmed".
In another tweet, Fonda attacked White House senior advisor Stephen Miller, adding "Goebbels" into the middle of his name, a reference to Nazi Germany's infamous propaganda minister Joseph Goebbels. "Need to make their children worry now".
