Crenshaw used his feet to grab a pair of scissors and struck Coronado twice before walking away, police said.

He's a fixture on the Lincoln Road Mall in Miami's South Beach area.

A homeless Miami man with no arms has been charged after allegedly stabbing a tourist, authorities announced Wednesday.

The incident in question unfolded on Monday when Chicago resident Cesar Coronado, 22, and a female friend stopped in the South Beach area to ask Crenshaw for directions, the Miami New Times reported.

According to the arrest report, police arrived at the 1600 block of Collins Avenue around midnight Tuesday morning to find Coronado bleeding from his left arm.

The publication has profiled Crenshaw in the past and found he has had multiple run-ins with police and other officials, including violent crime charges. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Neither men dispute that Coronado was stabbed, but Crenshaw said he was attacked first, according to the arrest report.

Barrientos described the attacker to police as a homeless, armless man. Officers found Crenshaw a short distance away and arrested him.

Krenshaw has claimed that he defended himself after Cesar Coronado, 22, punched him in the head, but has now been charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He has a court date set for July 18.
