Kylie Jenner To Become Youngest ’Self-Made’ Billionaire Ever After Making $900 Million

Kylie Jenner set to become the youngest self-made billionaire on Forbes list

Kylie Jenner Outranks Kim, Beyonce and Taylor on Forbes' Richest Self-Made Women List

The young mother, who gave birth to daughter Stormi in February, set up Kylie Cosmetics two years ago and the company has already sold more than US$630 million worth of makeup, the magazine said. The company, of which Jenner owns 100 percent, is worth $800 million alone.

Most of her wealth comes from her make-up company Kylie Cosmetics, which has now sold more than $630m (£475m) worth of products.

Thanks to the massive success of her cosmetics lines, the 20-year-old reality star came in at #27 on the magazine's "America's Richest Self-Made Women" list, outranking sister Kim Kardashian-West (54), Beyonce (53), Madonna (36) and Taylor Swift (60.). Aged 17, she trademarked the phrase "Kylie Lip Kits. for the flawless pout".

She is on track to become a billionaire earlier than Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, who achieved that status at age 23.

Kylie joins other women, including her sister Kim Kardashian, media mogul Oprah Winfrey, singers Beyonce and Taylor Swift who also made the list. "I have such easy access to my fans and my customers".

Forbes released its fourth annual list of the richest self-made women in the US on Thursday, singling out Kylie Jenner for recognition on the magazine's cover. "I've always loved makeup and worked really hard to bring the first lip kit to market".

"Wow, I can't believe I'm posting my very own @forbes cover", she captioned the pic. It doesn't sound like much until you consider the fact that she has more than 110 million followers on Instagram alone, many of whom are young women and girls-the target audience for those peddling lip gloss and mascara.

"Social media is an incredible platform", Kylie Jenner told Forbes in an interview released Wednesday.

"Social media is an unbelievable platform", Jenner said. It called her business' overhead costs "minuscule". Fast forward to a year or so later, and Kylie Cosmetics had raked in $430 million in just 19 months.

Jenner admitted during an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians in 2015 that her natural lips had been "an insecurity" that she wanted to change with temporary lip fillers.
