Sony said the console will sell for $499.99, and will be limited to 50,000 units worldwide.

The latest limited edition PlayStation 4 Pro celebrates the 500 million sales landmark with an exclusive gold-on-transparent-blue style. The European PlayStation Blog mentions there will be opportunities in win one in that region, but does not offer additional details. That's no mean feat by anyone's measure and to celebrate the achievement the company is selling a special edition PS4 Pro, and it's absolutely gorgeous.
My oh my, the new PlayStation 4 Pro 500 Million Limited Edition is one sexy beast! We'll see the console launch at retailers around the United States on August 24, while the controller and headset will follow in early September. The limited edition DS4 and Gold Wireless Headset will be available in select retailers across the USA and Canada in early September. Some will have "extra special" serial numbers like 09995 (U.S. Launch Date of the original PlayStation: September 9th, 1995), 01115 (U.S. launch date of PS4: November 15, 2013) and 01013 (U.S. launch date of PS VR: October 13, 2016).
