Becca greets Garrett one last time with the officialBachelorette greeting of jumping up and wrapping her legs around his waist. It sounded like a softball question, but really, he was teeing up a rather uncomfortable moment. She long assumed she would pick Blake, though in the last few weeks, Garrett started to make quite an impression. "I want Becca to know the truth about Garrett".
Despite an entire segment that followed about this topic, the show didn't actually explain what Garrett meant with "stuff" - which is a pretty crucial detail. The posts included memes that mocked transgender people, immigrants and feminists as well as claimed Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg was a crisis actor.
This became quite the controversy online, and almost overshadowed the actual show.
Yrigoyen deleted his old Instagram account shortly after the posts were made public and issued an apology on a new profile.
Okay, we get it!
Sitting down with Harrison during the live finale, Garrett reiterated some of what he already said in his first statement.
"I think "Paradise" helped me realize that I was chasing the wrong thing, and that if I were to go back and do it a second time, I would have the opportunity to chase the right thing", the social media director recently told Page Six. So I put out an apology. "I didn't mean to offend anybody, I apologize for that still", Yrigoyen said during an appearance on ABC's "After the Final Rose" show on Monday night.
"I'm very sorry, I didn't meant to hurt anybody's feelings".More news: LeBron James adds Showtime documentary to TV portfolio
He said, "I'm just trying to grow as a person, be a better person on a daily basis".
The reason I say nearly is because, while she waited, Becca said the man she was about to send home wouldn't see it coming and would feel blindsided, and there was no doubt that was Blake.
"The Instagram situation, I don't condone that and he stands by his apology", she added. If anything, I know just how capable of finding love I am. "And when that all came out, we attacked it. we got through that together, and we're growing, we're progressing and we're moving forward". Or, will Horstmann be the next star of The Bachelor 2019?
Becca said that while the scandal was "a hurdle", the thought of leaving him "never crossed my mind". Emily told Kufrin that Horstmann would challenge her and make a good teammate. "Because we were so constant, I felt like I was overlooking other relationships", Kufrin said to Horstmann during the breakup.
"I was able to get a little bit of closure".
The future: When the proposal finally came it nearly seemed like an afterthought given how long we had to wait to see it (although I understand why the producers wouldn't have made Blake sit and watch it).
I'd say it was hotter than Hades that day in the Maldives, but it's 88 degrees like every day there. The resemblance left many unsettled and seemed to take the shine off what was otherwise an uplifting finale (though not a surprising one, as Garrett was pegged as the frontrunner for months). "She's helping me through everything, we've been honest, open and transparent with each other since the beginning". "Anything that's come about, or just dealing with anything, that's how we address it - head on".
