A New Jersey woman who thought she was helping a down-and-out man pay for his gas station food ended up footing the bill for country music star Keith Urban. For years, she and her husband have been picking up people's tabs as gestures of kindness. A few years ago she even made the resolution to do it weekly.
"It looked like he was using a card, and it didn't go through", Reed said.
"It was then I realized what an idiot I was", Ruth said in the Facebook post. "So, I said, 'No I'll get it'".
Reed told CBS Philly she thought he looked familiar but did not immediately recognize him.
"And he said, 'What's your name?' (I said), 'Ruth, '" she said.
After commenting that he looked like Keith Urban, the musician admitted she was more right than she knew.

"And I said 'Really?"
Urban, who was in town for a concert at BB&T Pavilion in Camden on Friday, told Reed she could ask his bodyguard for confirmation. Then where's (your wife) Nicole (Kidman)? And who was that woman you were with?' And snippy, not nice!
"He said "That's my sister we can ask her" and I said "Okay I don't think she would lie to some old lady".
"And he really could have said 'Lady get away from me, ' and he didn't, he was very kind".
"And I just fell apart, fell apart and he was gracious".
The two then took a photo together.
