Arsenal news O'Leary says none of the Gunners rivals have got worse

Arsenal boss Unai Emery insists he works well with Mesut Ozil and says the German's retirement from global football will benefit the Gunners.

Rafa Benitez explains why Newcastle's Premier League stats aren't "real" - yetAnd after securing their first away win of the season at the Cardiff City Stadium two weeks ago, Emery is targeting a victory against Newcastle but insists it will be a hard.

Ozil is expected to be back in action for Arsenal this weekend when they take on Newcastle United in the Premier League.

Here for me it isn't for a lot of the time speaking about what people are telling us. "In this process, we will work, we will help him, give him the possibility on the pitch to be together, to find his qualities for us".

"In his career, he played like a No. 10 and on the right coming in with his quality", Emery said.

Ozil's retirement from global football came after he made claims of racism from the German football association.

Emery admitted Ozil's first global break since his retirement will have been a hard adjustment for the player, but that the pair have been able to spend beneficial time on the training ground together.

Torreira picked up a minor calf issue while away with Uruguay last week but he's trained fully since returning to Arsenal and is available for selection so I wouldn't be surprised to see him start against Newcastle this weekend. Mesut works very well here. After six years here, I came and I know him as a new Nacho Monreal.

Meanwhile, Emery has been left guessing whether Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis - the man who identified him as Arsene Wenger's successor - will jump ship to join AC Milan.
