WATCH Rain Chances Increase Today Into Friday

The front that has stalled over central IN will be the focus for additional showers and thunderstorms on Friday.

Highs are forecast around 70 degrees Sunday afternoon. With the clouds and wet weather, high temperatures will bak off into the 70s for Friday into the weekend. Two to three inches of rain could fall over the region Sunday night through Monday, with the steadiest and heaviest rains expected later Sunday night, and localized higher amounts are possible. Rain moving in will become heavy at times Saturday night over western areas, and become heavier over eastern areas on Sunday.

However, that could change between now and Sunday night, with the Environment Canada adding there remains "considerable uncertainty" in the timing and track of the storm.

The weather in Hamilton will also get cooler this weekend. The additional lift created by the low pressure will aid in more widespread rain and increase the rainfall rates. Major rises on the smaller Rivers can be expected. River flood warnings are in effect for many locations along the Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois Rivers. Backwater from the MS causing the Meramec at Arnold to rise above flood stage.
