Ariana Grande had to turn off her Instagram comments after trolls blamed her for ex-boyfriend Mac Miller's death, but one of the rapper's close friends insists she was integral in keeping Miller sober and healthy. She's made it clear that she was supportive of Miller getting sober, but the relationship was toxic and she couldn't stay with him.

Powers added that Grande was in regular contact with him about Miller's health. But it's one person's tribute that people appreciate because of how intimately she knew him. "I saw that. I was around it".

Charlie Puth said that he was hopeful that he would help Mac Miller turn his life around after years battling with substance abuse. "What do I do?' This little girl was unbelievably involved and helpful to him being healthy". Because whether he was an addict of not, the way that Mac partied was not healthy.

Grande and Miller previously dated for nearly two years, collaborating on Grande's hit "The Way" and Miller's "My Favorite Part", before breaking up in May. He was found unresponsive around noon on Friday, September 7, in a bedroom at his San Fernando Valley home and was pronounced dead at the scene.

The LA coroner said the cause of Miller's death is yet to be determined and that a post-mortem examination will be carried out. Now TMZ reports that as a result of his death, the Los Angeles City Attorney has been forced to drop a DUI case against him.
