Roseanne Barr reveals how her character, Roseanne Conner, will die

Roseanne: My character gets killed off 'The Conners' by opioid overdose

Roseanne Might Have Just Spoiled Her Own Death in The Conners

She told Brandon Straka on his YouTube show "Walk Away," that the writers of "The Conners" will have her die by overdosing on opioids.

Barr was sacked from her hit sitcom after she tweeted out a political attack on former Obama adviser Valarie Jarrett that many people assumed was a "racist" attack on the half black and half Iranian former official. "But I was never going to have Roseanne die of an opioid overdose". Barr herself may just have revealed how the ABC sitcom plans to write off her character: a drug overdose.

On Tuesday, Roseanne Barr gave an exclusive interview to Dr. Oz, in yet another attempt to explain and apologize for her racist tweet. "It's done. It's over", she said. "It's done. It's over".

The actress described the killing off of her character as denigrating, telling Straka that "it wasn't enough to [fire me], they had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show".

A month to go before The Connors premiere on ABC and Roseanne has already spilled the beans. It seemed like her addiction would be a running storyline in the next season, but now that Barr has been fired, it's apparently how they'll end Roseanne's life. "And also I have quite a few teachers over the years that live there and, you know, I want to study".

Barr called the decision "cynical and terrible". "Can't blame them when ABC ruins shows like Last Man Standing & Roseanne".

"The first people who called me were my African-American family members and comics", she said. You can find out what really happens when The Conners premieres on October 16.
