Samsung is also going to announce a foldable smartphone this year, which would already be a trendsetter by the virtue of being bendable, so we could only imagine the boost it would get with four cameras at the rear side of the handset. Now with Samsung's confirmation for an October event perfectly fits the bill.

While we don't know for sure, the event invitation hints at a new Galaxy A phone.

The Galaxy S10 could become the first smartphone from Samsung to use a triple rear camera setup. "Capture the fun with Samsung as the company celebrates the launch of a new device with A Galaxy Event on October 11, 2018". Samsung has reportedly been testing out its in-display fingerprint scanner, so the device in question might have that as well. A new reports says that Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S10 will have an entirely revamped camera system created to beat the Huwaei P20's excellent three-sensor setup and the Apple iPhone XS' dual-camera arrangement. The Galaxy S9 has dual rear cameras, but the S10 Plus could get three.

There are a wide variety of exciting options for the subject of this event, but considering how soon it's coming after the release of the Galaxy Note 9 and the fact that it seems to be online only, it's hard to imagine Samsung having another flagship product up its sleeve. We think we know, however.
