Samsung might launch its first quad-camera phone on October 11

The handset is most notably Samsung's first device to include a triple-lens camera.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 was £739 and now you can save £100, putting the new price at £639.

In a phone that touts camera prowess, Samsung hasn't forgotten the all-important selfie shooter at the front, too.

All of this camera tech will allow Galaxy A7 users to do some cool tricks, like adjusting bokeh effect strength as you take the photo.

The Galaxy A7 features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with 1080 x 2220 pixels of resolution, 441 ppi and aspect ratio of 18.5:9.

The smartphone will be up for sale in select European and Asian markets starting from October. The camera also features Scene Optimizer for classifying objects based on nine categories and modifying the color, contrast, and brightness.

Huawei was the first OEM to release a triple-rear-cam phone with the P20 series this year, and it looks like this feature is become a standard for high-end and mid-range smartphones. It consists of a 24-megapixel lens with an LED flash, capable of taking bokeh-effect photos and creating AR Emojis.

Leaked images posted earlier this week turned out to be the real deal, with a smart handset shown in four colours: black, blue, pink and gold. The Galaxy A7 also supports Dolby Atmos®2 immersive sound technology, which brings entertainment to life through moving audio that flows all around you. The Galaxy A7 houses a 3,300mAh battery and runs Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box. The gear is quite large at 159.8 x 76.8 x 7.5 mm, and fairly heavy at 168g.

On the connectivity part, the smartphone offers, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4/5GHz), VHT80, Bluetooth v5, GPS + GLONASS, NFC (Optional).

The insides of the Galaxy A7 feature an octa-core chipset clocked at 2.2GHz, coupled with 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. The latest iteration of the Galaxy A7 apparently improves on the 2017 version of the device announced earlier previous year.
