Pogba, who was a world-record signing when he returned to Manchester United for €105 million in 2016, seems to have had his head turned by Barcelona's intention to sign him.

It is worth noting that his transfer rumour came on the back of several reports from last season claiming that the player's relationship with Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has tarnished.

And the 25-year-old has supposedly agreed not to agitate for a move to either Barcelona or Juventus in January.

"My future is now in Manchester", Pogba told Sky Germany.

Asked about his relationship with Mourinho, Pogba told Sky: "We have a pure coach-player relationship, that's right". I am under contract at Manchester [United].

Mourinho, on the other hand, played down talks of conflict with Pogba, saying that, "couldn't be happier" with France's World Cup-winning star.

"One thing I can assure you, I will always give 100%, no matter which coach I always give everything for United - I cannot say more".

United are 10th in the Premier League table with two wins and two losses from their four games, and face Watford on September 15 after the global break. "That's all I can say".

Luis Suarez thinks reported Barcelona target Paul Pogba has a desire to challenge for more titles than he does with Manchester United and insists the Frenchman would be welcome at Camp Nou.

"I think Pogba could blast it out of the water by playing well because then Mourinho will have a problem. He may not be a Barca player yet, but he would always be welcome", the former Liverpool ace told Catalan radio network RAC1.
