I said he could end up in the tight circle of the best three or four players in the world.

Eden Hazard is unhappy with his role leading to the sack of Jose Mourinho at Chelsea in 2015 and would welcome another opportunity to work with the Red Devils manager in the future.

"After the title, we asked Mourinho for an additional holiday and I got completely out of shape".

A number of high-profile Chelsea players - including Hazard - failed to produce their best displays during that period, and the Belgium global has revealed that he has regrets over the situation.

"The last season with Mourinho wasn't pleasant because we didn't win anything and then we entered into a routine of training without having fun".

"In 12 years I've only had one bad season - the last six months under Mourinho - and it was partly my fault", he added.

As Jose Mourinho went in search of the rats scrambling round his sinking ship at Chelsea, Eden Hazard was nominally reckoned to be one of those who had fallen foul of the Portuguese manager.

Hazard concedes that Mourinho is quick to turn on his players if results are not going his way, but insists that when his sides are winning there is no better coach. "We'd enjoyed all that success together, but this time we hadn't", he said.

Hazard, though, maintains that he regrets how their professional ties ended, and would like to play for him again.

The Belgian forward is regarded as one of the best players in the Premier League and has been heavily linked with a move to European champions Real Madrid in recent months.

Mourinho guided Chelsea to the Premier League title in the 2014/15 season, with Hazard being the Blues star player, scoring 19 goals in all competitions, which is still the most prolific the 27-year-old has been during his time at Stamford Bridge.
