The niece of Sister, Sister actress Tamera Mowery was among the 12 people killed in a mass shooting in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday night.
Filipino-American college student Alaina Punzalan Housley was among the 12 people killed in the horrific shooting inside a bar in Thousand Oaks, California on Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila), the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles said. "We were hoping she just went somewhere because of the incident but unfortunately it turns out she was one of the victims", Punzalan said.

He noted that his niece's Apple devices showed the bar's dance floor as her current location.
Tamera's twin sister, Tia Mowry-Hardict, shared her shock and horror about the news on social media as well.
Adam wrote: "My brother Arik, his wife Hannah, and my nephew Alex are some of the best people you'll ever meet".
